About Robert

I grew up by the sea in a small Swedish fishing community, where simplicity and craftsmanship weren’t ideals; they were simply how things were done.

From an early age, I was drawn to clothing. Not because of trends, but because of what a well-made garment can do. It can carry memories, tell stories, and become so familiar that it feels uniquely yours.

That belief took me to fashion school in Sweden, and later to London. But when I entered the industry, I found something very different: overproduction, waste and short-term thinking at almost every level.

Over time, I became disillusioned with a system that felt disconnected from the values that had drawn me to fashion in the first place.

So I stepped away.

Then one afternoon, sketching at a friend’s kitchen table, I remembered what I had always loved about fashion: the act of creating. The satisfaction of making something with care.

That moment became INGMARSON.

Sustainability isn’t an afterthought or a strategy added later. It is woven into our thinking from the very beginning and is one of the reasons INGMARSON exists.

How we make it

Materials
We choose materials for their quality, longevity and environmental credentials, always looking for better ways to make the things we create.

SustainaWool
Certified yarn from Italy, produced by one of the few spinners able to directly control its supply chain, including origin, traceability and compliance with relevant textile and health standards.

Organic Cotton
100% GOTS-certified across all of our cotton pieces.

Embroidery Threads & Backing
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, with materials sourced with consideration for responsible forestry and harmful-substance standards.

Recycled yarn
Waste yarn from our knitwear production is recycled back into the knitting process, helping us reduce material waste.

Production & Packaging

Production
Where possible, we produce on demand rather than in volume.

This helps us reduce waste and avoid unnecessary excess stock. Every collection is designed with longevity in mind, not seasonal turnover.

Packaging
Compostable mailers. Recycled tissue paper. Plastic-free stickers. Ribbon upcycled from waste yarn. Vegan inks. Every element of our packaging is considered with the same mindset as the products inside: use what is needed, avoid what isn’t, and look for better alternatives.
